This is a difficult question to answer in such a short space. However, the prime areas that show your organization is grant ready are: 1) you have your IRS 501c3 Determination Letter; 2) a strong 100% financially supporting board, 3) three years worth of 990’s showing sustainability (the organization is in the “black” financially), 4) a sound donor base, 5) someone specifically tasked with development of the foundation and corporate grants area.
